A program with optimism coursing through the notes, this program begins with the Jacksonville Symphony’s commission and world premiere of a work by Courtney Bryan. Jennifer Koh makes her Jacksonville debut with Prokofiev's First Violin Concerto. Rachmaninoff’s hauntingly beautiful Symphony No. 2 contains themes of hope, redemption and the hallmark romance that made the composer famous.
