Listen as Scandinavian myths emerge from the page and come alive through music on the stage. Finnish composer Jean Sibelius takes the tales that have inspired some of our most beloved stories today and illustrates them using luscious, hallmark harmonies and brass as powerful as the north wind. Go back in time and experience melodic storytelling as you never have before.
Seasoned listeners and those new to symphonic music will be equally entertained by the Symphony in 60 Series. Enjoy a casual and fun cocktail hour before the 60 minute concert, introductions to each musical piece by the conductor, and a chance to make new friends. This series provides an exceptional experience for all. Cocktail Hour begins at 5:30 pm.
