Tonight is a night where musial history will be made. Be a part of the moment when the Symphony introduces its world premiere commission by Sean Shepherd, a master of color and rhythm whom the New York Times called "an exciting composer of the new American generation." Following is Mozart' G minor Symphony that beams with exuberance and musical artistry. Closing this evening of monumental music is Brahms' Double Concerto featuring two soloists! The Symphony welcomes back charismatic cellist Joshua Roman and cutting-edge violinist Simone Porter in her Jacksonville debut.
