Four ensembles of the Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestras come together with nearly 100 students from Communities In Schools' Jump Start Strings program for an epic performance featuring over 200 young musicians! Hear the incredible energy and boundless potential of these dedicated students as they unite for a powerful and inspiring concert experience.
The Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestras (JSYO) serves more than 230 young musicians from all over Northeast Florida through six levels of ensembles – two full orchestras and four levels of string ensembles – that vary by repertoire and technical advancement. The JSYO season begins in September and ends in mid-May but includes holiday breaks.

Nathaniel Efthimiou, D.M.A. is the newly appointed Assistant Conductor of the Jacksonville Symphony and Music Director of Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestras. He previously served as Assistant Conductor of the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra and Assistant Professor of Music at Berklee College of Music.
